We had a magical wedding day at The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort. From the moment we arrived at the resort we were treated like
royalty. The Resort General Manager, Donagh Davern met us at the entrance and welcomed us with a glass of bubbly. The staff were attentive and attention to detail could be seen every where, from the service and assistance we got from the events team right through to the serving staff and food and beverage manager on the day. Our guests all commented that the food was one of the best meals they had ever tasted at a wedding before and the party continued well into the small hours as our band kept people
dancing all night. The room looked amazing; it was romantic and sophisticated and it really set the tone for our day. We would strongly recommend The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort for a wedding, it's in a wonderful location, just at the foot of the majestic Slieve Bloom Mountains and is surrounded by some beautiful countryside. The service, the food and the atmosphere, was more than five star, it was the stuff of memories. Our wedding day was amazing and we wouldn't have changed a thing.

Having attended many weddings and having done lots of research into various hotels around Ireland for our wedding we were immediately impressed with The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort, in terms of the professionalism of the hotel staff and top quality facilities available for us and our guests. We knew without doubt that our wedding there would be the day we had dreamed about. Everything on the day ran like clockwork and no task no matter how large or trivial was a problem with every staff member attentive to our and our guests needs. It really was a perfect setting and the venue added to the tone of happiness and joy that we experienced. It was the happiest day of our lives and the Heritage staff in particular had a big part to play in its success. All our guests commented on how amazing the venue was. I want to thank you and your entire staff for making our wedding absolutely perfect! We just celebrated our 6 month anniversary as husband and wife and to this day our guests are telling us what an amazing time they had and how the staff at the Heritage could not have been more courteous and professional. As you know Gavan is Irish and I am from the US, so our first priority was finding a place that felt like a 5-star getaway for all of our guests, no matter how far they had travelled. We began our search looking at Irish Castles and were discouraged when we realized they were fancy but lacked the relaxed style we were looking for. I cant tell you how amazing it felt, after looking at countless venues, to drive up to the Heritage and realize immediately what a perfect spot it would be for our big day!
From the moment we set the date to the day we left, we and our guests were treated like royalty. A few reasons why we chose the Heritage were that: the venue itself is spectacular. The hotel decor is upscale yet comfortable. The cozy fireplaces and lounge off of the lobby were perfect meeting spots for our guests. The rooms were spacious, clean and very tastefully decorated. Our guests didn't have to leave the property for the entire time they were there! This was a huge benefit for our out of town guests. There is plenty to do to keep people occupied. The adorable Thatch Pub was the perfect spot for the day before and/or the day after festivities! There is a top rated golf and spa, walking and hiking trails, a church across the street, lots of yummy restaurants, fun drinking establishments..its all in one spot!
As far as the wedding was concerned, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The food was simply amazing. Usually at weddings the food is "ok", our guests raved about the food! The service was better than I have had at any hotel. For example, one of our guests had to step away quietly for a moment to feed her baby and when she got back to her seat, her dinner had been kept warm and was immediately set down for her to enjoy without missing a minute! Now that is service. Also, the main staircase was the perfect spot for a big group picture that I have attached and that we will have forever!
