Well we’re do we start!! Myself and Stephen had a romantic night away in the Heritage 3 years ago before we even got engaged and it became a home from home. We began to have a night away every chance we got at the heritage. So when we eventually got engaged we both had it in our heads that it would be our dream wedding to have it here, we looked at so many places but not one felt right for us. 

So we organized a meeting with Trisha Broughan and this is how it all began. 

Trisha was a true professional from start to finish with the warmest welcome anytime we needed her, She went above and beyond to make our day the most perfect day we could have expected and more. 

Dougie and John were two of the  main men on the day working alongside Trisha and they went above and beyond to the point that the day ran so smoothly the guests commented afterwards. From the ballroom decor, to the entertainment running smoothly, to the children been so well looked after by Martina and all the staff it was honestly amazing and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.. 

Now to move on to Our concierge man Andrew, we got to know Andrew over the years of staying in the heritage and requested him to work on our special day and as always Andrew exceeded both ours and our guests expectations, running around after everyone with a big smile on his face and a top hat nearly as big as himself haha thank you so much Andrew...

Thank you to all the staff who looked after everyone so well and a special thank you to Anna at reception who we have gotten to know over the years also and we were delighted Anna was working on the day, also a special thank you to Martina who entertained the children so patiently... 

Now lastly but most importantly, the invisible man that no one gets to see, Chef Ian. We met Ian for our food tasting and every single course was outstanding, we had not got one issue with a single dish, Ian sat with us and went through everything thoroughly, he even went through our day and to say he is another perfectionist like our Trisha he really is.. Ian went above and beyond for us also adding little extras. The food was outstanding and still to this day our guests comment on the beautiful canopies, to the main meal and the evening food. 

We really appreciate from the bottom of our hearts absolutely everything every single staff member at the heritage done for us that day. 

We would not change a thing but would do it all over again with you all by our side.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you David , John, Ian, Martina and anyone who had a hand in our big day. Everything went seamlessly. We didn't have to worry about a single thing and our guests had nothing but great things to say about the venue, food and especially the service. We had the perfect weekend and it was more than we could have imagined.

Wow what can we say about the hotel and staff....ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Literally EVERY single guest said all of it was fantastic.  So from the start the biggest THANK YOU goes to TRISHA BROUGHAN for 110% of all your time, patience and organisation. The day would'nt have gone as smooth and looked as fantastic without you (I hope all my notes in the boxes were not too annoying)! No email, question or query was ever a problem. I'm a bit of an organised freak at times so it was killing me not being able to get stuck into doing it all myself but i should never had doubted as you had it all as I had dreamed. THANK YOU! You deserve that big holiday coming up!  To DOUGIE for making the ballroom service and Sunday night glide through (your quick but smooth reaction to the candle situation was very much appreciated)! To your right hand man JORGI a very big THANK YOU for the impeccable top table service i'm still stunned to think that was ur 647th!  To JOHN KELLY for your oversight of everything, again we can not thank you enough for checking everything was ok,sorting out rooms and making sure everything ran smoothly.

To ANDREW concierge, thank you for your running around,taking in trollies of boxes and bags and then the returning of them all,you were very efficient and everything was in perfect condition. 

 Now to IAN Head Chef, WOW! We were so looking forward to our guests experiencing the food as we have plenty of experinces and you proved to everyone what we raved about for so long! Literally EVERY single guest said the food was the best they have ever had. It was all so hot and fresh they had to wait for it to cool (good complaint) ,they said the starter was AMAZING!!. Loads had no room for dessert which I should have said to box up and send to our room (never let a dessert go to waste)! We had the Malaysian curry on Sunday and it was just what we needed after a mental previous day & night.   Finally to every other staff member working the weekend,a big thank you to all of you for making ourselves and guests have an amazing experience. The hotel was in excellent condition and that can only be possible with all your services.

 A few guests have commented on booking for a future stay so I'm very happy that we made the perfect decision as to where we held our special day and for all to really enjoy it. Some guests have stayed in few competition hotels and have commented on the experience they had over the weekend in THE HERITAGE RESORT being the top winner for everything! We know the hotel has been taken over in the last few months and a few things have and will be changing but we really hope that from all of the above that some things dont need to be changed,other than staff getting a good pay increase for the job they all do with 100% dedication and love! If not broken why try fix something!    Myself and Gary honestly can not  THANK EVERYBODY enough for everything, for making our special day such an amazing experience.We cant wait to return for our Anniversary or maybe even before that. Our only complaint is that the day went by way too fast and wish we could do it all again! So THANK YOU again to EVERYBODY.

We had the best day at The Heritage for our wedding. Everything was top class and seamless. From the first contact with wedding coordinator David right through to the wee hours of the reception, the staff and service were faultless. Guests were very impressed with the venue, the service and the food. We would highly recommend this hotel, best in the midlands by far.

We got married in the Heritage Killenard last November. We could not have been happier with the hotel and the staff. The hotel was so beautiful, it really had the 'wow' factor. The staff were so helpful and made our day so special. Our wedding coordinator Avril took care of everything. This made the lead up to our wedding completely stress free. We're returning to the hotel soon for our anniversary and I cannot wait to relive the best day of my life in the beautiful surroundings of the Heritage Killenard.

The whole team at The Heritage could not have been more helpful in the run up to the wedding and on the day. No request was too small or too big, they made us and all our guests feel so welcome and everybody kept telling me how excellent the hotel staff were during their stay. David was our Wedding Planner and he was so lovely to deal with and made sure everything ran smoothly along with John, the banqueting manager, who was also brilliant. The food was delicious and exactly as we requested at the tasting. Ian the head chef was so helpful and professional, he made us feel very confident all was going to be great on the day which it was. I honestly picked the Heritage as I have heard such good things from other brides and friends and really wanted to choose somewhere I could trust for high standards in food and service as I have heard so many awful stories I didn’t want to risk somewhere I hadn't received referrals from. The hotel is 5 star but I found reasonably priced considering some 4 star hotels in area were almost charging the same. Our penthouse and the views were amazing and we got married in the church across the road which was so convenient esp with time pressure on the day. I can't recommend this hotel as a venue enough as our day was so special and I know it's because the team in the Heritage went the extra mile to make it that way.

Firstly, apologies that it has taken us so long to write this email. I still can’t believe it’s three months since the wedding.
Secondly, congratulations on your recent wedding. I hope you both had a wonderful day.
Thirdly, we just want to say thank you for everything that you did for us for our own wedding. Deciding where to get married can be such a difficult choice to make. However, as soon as we met you and received the guided tour we knew the Heritage was the hotel for us. You subsequently invited us to the couples taster night and that really sealed the deal.
You were a dream to deal with in the lead up to the wedding and you were always so prompt and attentive in your replies to my multiple queries!! My mother said that you clearly had the patience of a saint :)
But most importantly, you were so calming the day before and the day of the wedding. We had some last minute changes, in particular to the table plan and you facilitated same – despite having already printed the table plan and that meant so much to us.
In relation to the hotel, it was just perfect. The wedding suite was amazing as were all the guest rooms. I particularly loved that all our guests with children received treats in their rooms. It was such a lovely gesture and they were delighted with these additional touches.
Everyone spoke about how delicious the food was and how lovely the staff were. They really couldn’t have been nicer. Andrew, the concierge, was an absolute gentleman and made us feel so welcome as soon as we stepped in the door. All of the staff at reception were so lovely and professional too.
I also have to mention meeting Robert at the bar. My dad and I had stepped out to the front bar for some quality father/daughter time and we happened to bump into Robert who insisted on buying us a celebratory drink and spent a few moments chatting to us. It was such a lovely gesture.
Avril, we had an absolute ball as did all our guests and we only wish we could it all again so thank you to all for such a wonderful time :) We really appreciate all you did.

Myself and Chris just wanted to express our thanks and gratitude to yourself and all the staff at the Heritage. We had an unbelievable wedding day on 23 June 2017. We couldn’t be happier that we chose to have our wedding here.
Every little detail was amazing, we were truly blown away. The venue is absolutely stunning however it was the staff on the day that made the day what it was. All of our guests commented all weekend on how incredible and personable the staff were. These little details really made the difference, from our guests receiving welcome notes in their rooms to the kids receiving sweet dreams cookies on the turndown service.
If you could pass on a very special thank you to the following staff who were amazing on the day we would be very thankful.
First of all Trisha, she was amazing. We could not have asked for more in a wedding coordinator. She went above and beyond at every little moment. She is calm, reassuring and one of the bubbliest people we have ever met. There was no task too little or too big, Trisha put table numbers in frames for us, organised my bathroom baskets, made sure my draping was exactly what I wanted and made sure the room was stunning. She was literally like another bridesmaid. We cannot thank her enough. She is a credit to your team.
The concierge team also went above and beyond. Andrew was the first part of the concierge team I met on the Tuesday before the wedding and he helped me in with all of our wedding apparel and stored it for me, he also helped to gather all of our belongings on Sunday when we left. He was a true gentleman, so helpful and friendly. John-Paul helped gather all of our things from the bridal suite when we were checking out and literally packed the car for us. We arrived down to reception and our car was ready to go. He could not have done enough for us. Liam deserves a special thank you. The day before the wedding and the day of he was outstanding. He was there at every moment looking after us - making sure we were okay for everything. On the day he drove us to Emo Court for our photographs and waited patiently for us to finish. When we had finished with the photographer and walking back to the car he even drove to meet us so I didn’t have to walk any further in my heels - a true gent that thought of EVERYTHING.
We, along with our families would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Martina who served our families in the ballroom. She is an absolute gem. Martina went above and beyond, she knew all the kids names and even buttered their bread. She was so amazing that we actually had family ask did we hire her ourselves to look after the children. She made the kids so comfortable to express what they wanted to eat and drink and by doing this the parents were able to relax and enjoy themselves even more.
Also the bar staff, particularly the lads who stayed up till the end, it was a late one, nearly 6 am on the wedding night. They couldn’t have been nicer when I’m sure they just wanted us to shut singing and go to bed. Billy and Sean in particular were extremely good fun and couldn’t have been more helpful.
Finally we would like to thank Mark on the front desk. He was so helpful from start to finish. Every little detail made the difference.
Every single member of staff looked after us from check in until check out. We were treated like VIPs from when we landed on Thursday until we left on Sunday. I’m sure we have forgotten to mention people as every single member of staff we encountered was exceptional.
I really hope that the hotel appreciate how lucky and privileged they are to have such wonderful staff as it your staff that made the day as amazing as it was. We cannot wait to come back for another visit and we, along with all of our guests will be raving about The Heritage for decades to come.

I wanted to drop a line and apologies for the delay on this, but to say a huge thank you to you and all the staff at the Heritage. You truly made our wedding day one to remember.

Throughout the planning you were always there to offer advice and guidance and we both felt so at ease leading into the Big Day - thank you so much. On the day itself, honestly it went above and beyond what we had expected. The service by John and his team was fantastic, we couldn't have asked for any more. They were on hand when needed and made everyone feel so welcome. Special mention to Martina who looked after the family tables so well, the parents just couldn't compliment her enough and to Joji looking after us on the top table, it was just so nice to have him there and he was brilliant! To hear our guests speak so highly of the Heritage, the food, the service was amazing.

The little touches that you added with the place cards, the personalized Champagne flutes, and welcome in Bridal suite were just so thoughtful and I adored them.

It was a very easy decision for us to choose the Heritage and although I knew it would be an amazing day, it went above and beyond our expectations. From initial meetings, to the menu tasting, the wedding day itself to when we left a couple of days later we were made to feel so special.

We wish everyone at the Heritage continued success and will be recommending you for every occasion!

From the moment we met, I knew what an amazing woman we had in organising our Big Day and you certainly went above and beyond for us. The spa experience was a lovely treat the week of the wedding and on leaving the day after the wedding we were treated to our lunch by the owner....super touch and a lovely way to end our celebrations. It’s myself and Denise’s first day back to reality (ie. Work) today and I couldn’t let the day go without sending Robert, yourself and the team in Killenard on a note of thanks..
We were just chatting last night about what an amazing day it actually was.. Denise described it as just perfect and wouldn’t have changed one thing & I would have to agree..
The reception was just so beautiful and the room just looked amazing when we arrived.. You had everything thought of and really took the pressure off us both. On a day that people could get stressed, lost and worried – you had thought of everything and just made the day just a breeze and without doubt the best day of both our lives so far..
Both our parents ( who are elderly ) are still talking about the experience they had over the 2 days.. The connection you had with them prior to the event and knowing that you were there to help if needed be really was touching and they still ask for you.. The approach and extremely helpful attitude of your colleagues just amazed all that attended. We had cousins who came from the USA and UK, who actually booked for a second night, just to experience the breakfast!! It was just amazing..
We also had a guest who is not in the best of health and went outside for some fresh air during the reception – a colleague of yours sat with her and actually went and got her a 7up and came back a number of times to see if she was OK – she is still talking about it and something she will never forget.. That’s amazing service in my eyes..
From my own perspective, the connection you had with my wife Denise, was just the icing on the cake (don’t mention the cake!!).. Your guidance and support from the day we first met you was second to none and the Heritage Killenard, is very lucky to have you on its team..
You will be glad to hear my mad Best Man Colin, has returned back home to the Cayman Islands and passes on his thanks – he said he will stay with you for a week the next time he is home!!
Your gift of the glasses will have pride of place in our new home – many thanks again for a lovely thought..

"Good afternoon Robert,
I am writing to you today on behalf of my wife and I to express our complete satisfaction with our wedding experience in The Heritage. We had viewed several venues prior to our arrival in The Heritage in May 2014.
However, as soon as we walked into the lobby we both felt that your hotel had no equal in appearance and wow factor. We met with David Hannify that day and I must say he was very instrumental in our decision to choose the venue. We sat with him in the lobby for about half an hour and discussed the whole package and costs etc. Immediately we both felt like we were in capable hands as he clearly believes in the quality and service which the Heritage can provide. He and the events team gave us all the help and support we needed and they delivered a really special product. Aside from the beautiful surrounds and interior, the main comments we received from our guests were all regarding the exceptional quality of your staff. People were genuinely given treatment which I feel was above and beyond five star and this was reflected in the positive comments which we got from friends and family alike. I will give a few examples.
My wifes family had six young children at the table. The server appointed to that table was Martina. As she took the orders she also managed somehow to remember each childs name, this made a big impression on my new in-laws. She was a great help with the kids all through the meal. It may seem like a small detail but it didn't go unnoticed. My thanks to her and all the banquet staff.
Your concierge staff, Andrew, Tommy and young Brendan were so helpful and friendly, I think nearly everyone had nice things to say about them. Aly and I were particularly fond of the guys. They give a great first impression on arrival.
The banqueting manager John Kelly was exceptional on the day. He took it on himself to counsel a very,very nervous best man before the speeches commenced. I must admit I don't think Danny could have delivered his speech without Johns help. He was busy enough conducting the banquet yet he saw Danny was struggling and made time to reassure him. This is quality service, thanks again to John and the banqueting team
Duty manager Ciaran and David(Condron?) were never far away when we needed them. Ciaran looked after us on the night of the tasting. He handed us over to Jose in the restaurant who in turn brought chef David out to meet us, its was the personal touch all evening. Your own appearance that night ,and Adrians, capped it all off. We were very grateful for your kind gifts and also for the special treatment we were given on our last visit.
Your reception staff were a credit to the hotel. Guests were impressed with the hassle free check in and friendly, helpful staff. My thanks to Majella/Regina in particular who helped me through an IT malfunction while settling the final account.
Give my thanks to Alan and all the bar staff. Our guests like a drink and the guys were well able to keep us topped up. We had three wonderful nights in the bar and all our guests have been raving about the quality of the service.
I could go on more but I think I may have got my point across. We chose the best hotel in the country to have our wedding and you guys exceeded our expectations. Once again we would like to thank you and all your staff for a magical day.

The quality of the food and the quality of the service at the hotel for the entire weekend was absolutely fantastic….and I loved the BBQ Burgers, they were exactly what I was looking for!!!! Many of the guests also commented on the general friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff throughout the entire weekend so I’m sure it will lead to plenty more business in the future. Back a few weeks now from our Honeymoon & just settling back into normality again. I just wanted to send an email on behalf of Gary & myself to thank you & theb staff at The Heritage for all you done for us on our Wedding Day... everything was one hundred percent perfect and we could not fault anything. Since the Wedding all our guests have been talking about the hotel & we were worried initially about the distance between the church & hotel {over an hour} but we are so glad now we dedcied to go with the Heritage & your 5 star service & professionalism was noticed by all. We had the most amazing day on the 27th.Everything about the hotel was perfect. The staff were superb, the hotel was excellent, and everything was so easy once we got there. I am sorry we never made it to The Spa though, it gives me an excuse to go back now!! My favourite part was how they served dinner, absolutely loved the conducting of the top table serving!! :-) Everyone had very good things to say about The Heritage, and its all credit tot he staff & management down there. "We had our wedding reception at The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort in Killenard in late June 2010. The setting, the resort, the staff & the wedding coordinating team were next to none. No detail or request was left to the imagination. David & Annie in the events department were rock stars!! In our eyes they went above & beyond & were so accommodating in every task from the food tasting to the finer details on the day. To see the location, the setting, the ballroom & the resort will only justify a true understanding of how beautiful & collectively unique this venue is. The food was what you expect of a 5 star restaurant quality and that was not only from us but came from a variety of not only Irish but international guests. We searched a lot of Irish venues from Dublin to Galway & nothing compared to what we found in selecting The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort.. it was magical!">>
